[Poem] A Song of Ice and Fire.
Consumed by ubiquitous passage of time,
I found a moment for my heart to rhyme.
The sun calling out, shining bright,
Who to fear in this battle of wrong and right?
Legs long withered, sprinting the rat race,
Why won't you let mask my tired face?
The embracing moments fly by, calmness taking over.
Huffed, I stop by to take a breath under thy cover.
Mother bequeathed quintessentially to green overflowing trees.
Reassurance is essential for the mind to be at peace!
Open thy heart, a fathom underneath I'll caress.
Bereft thou, life-long been an utterly ugly mess.
Over flowing mind altering destinations unseen.
We were here, now, always have been!
Let it go, flow free, subconsciously hear the inner call.
Quit the herd, life's precious to be another brick in the wall!
My underlay craving not quenched, should never be.
All moment screamingly halt, for subsequent ones to see.
Mind oozing with laments of past,
outlined with subtle fearful future never to last.
While every moment slips by, I seldom fail to take a grip.
Embrace the last puff, bracing for my final trip!
