#BangaloreDiaries: And So It Begins
***
I witnessed why it was earmarked as the Silicon Valley of India. Every other street spewed with mighty structures, harbouring million dollar companies or start-ups destined to join the big league.
Bangalore was now Bengaluru.
I flew from Delhi, after getting an offer from one of the fortunes IT giants. I could find a hundred reasons to crib about in this city, especially if you are an outsider like me. I chose not to, however.
Change is Constant!
My strayed vision was painted green where ever my neck rotated. The city managed to find a subtle balance in keeping the aesthetic intact and allow development on nature's side-line.
I had practically lost track of the seasons here. It would rain anytime. The weather seems extra pleasant, especially if you are hailing from a region harbouring extreme climate.

I was happy! A constant smile decorated my face at all times.

Change is Good! |
For the first couple of months in the new city, I resided with an old college friend in his sprawling 3BHK flat at a premium apartment somewhere around the city downtown.

Rise and Shine |
Besides a suspended balcony on the third floor, mouth-watery food prepared by a hired Bengali cook kept my initial stay smooth and memorable.
We meticulously planned several overnight excursions in and around the city. Chikkamagaluru, Goa, Pune, Nandi Hills, Kodaikanal to name a few.
Let it Flow!
Let it Flow!
The city is aptly named as the beer city. Other than the abrupt monsoon shower, the city streets overflow with freshly brewed beer - a spectacle I couldn't miss during most of my initial weekends. I caught up with some old school and college pals over beer chugs!
It is funny how the entire city pours out to bars and restaurants to celebrate two days of freedom over the weekend only to go back to their chained cells the next week!
I started flowing through the never ending loop myself. Several litres of beer resulted in a perfectly round pot belly by the end of the second month. Henceforth, I started occasional intense-work-out sessions at my office gym.

Welcome Home!
The city welcomed me with open arms. Often during my dazed adventures on the streets of Bengaluru, I would have to remind myself I was in a foreign land, several thousand miles away from what I had known to be my home for so long.
The city taught me, home is where the mind is at peace!
However, no phase in your life lasts for too long. Permanence isn't in the nature of existence. Everything eventually gives way to something new or different.
The sooner you realise this ubiquitous fact of your material existence, the better you are positioned to stay calm and detached and keep on taking leaps of faith to embrace the unknown.
This was just the beginning!
#ToBeContinued.
